Girls off to state

The Tippecanoe Valley HS Girls basketball team is headed to Indianapolis for their first ever appearance in the state finals on Saturday, March 7, after capturing the Class 3A Semi-State title with a 60-45 win over the Rochester Zebras.  The Lady Vikings play in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 6:00pm against Princeton.

TVSC to Sell Surplus Items Via Online Auction

The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation will offer a variety of general surplus items for sale to the public via an online timed auction.  Interested individuals may bid on three tractors, a football scoreboard, two basketball scoreboards, a drill press, band saw, planer, desktop PCs, laptop computers, printers, televisions, overhead projectors, electronics, a Pitco triple unit fryer, and much more.

To view photographs of the items to be sold go to www.assetauctionsonline.com.  The online timed auction is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 26, and conclude on Sunday, March 8.

Remaining Make-Up Day Scheduled

The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation announces its plan for making up the remaining instructional days lost this year due to inclement weather:

  • Students will attend school on Friday, March 20, previously listed on the master calendar as a parent-teacher conference day and a non-school day for students. Opportunities for parent-teacher conferences will be provided. Information will be distributed specific to the school your child attends.
  • Students will attend school on Thursday and Friday, May 28 and 29.
  • Students will attend school on Monday and Tuesday, June 1 and 2.
  • Any additional cancellation days will be made up on June 3, 4, and 5.

Questions pertaining to Tippecanoe Valley’s make up days may be directed to the building principal of the school your child attends.

 

Jeff Yalden Presentation Moved to Tuesday Night

Jeff Yalden’s evening presentation to parents and the community at Tippecanoe Valley High School on Monday, February 16, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 17, at 7:00 p.m.  The change in dates is necessary because of the participation of the Tippecanoe Valley High School Lady Vikings Basketball Team in the championship game of the Wawasee sectional Monday evening. Tuesday night’s home boys’ basketball game with Bremen will be rescheduled.
 
The public is invited to Tuesday evening’s presentation to hear Jeff Yalden address the topic of ‘Youth Suicide Prevention”, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the Tippecanoe Valley High School Gym.

Please join us on February 16th, Monday night, beginning at 7:00pm, in the HS gym. Jeff Yalden, a high energy motivational speaker, will be sharing a need to hear message for parents and guardians on Youth Suicide Prevention.

Due tot he nature of the topic, this presentation is intended for adults only.  Child care will be provided by the TVHS Student Council.

PUBLIC INVITED TO “YOUTH SUICIDE PREVENTION” PRESENTATION BY JEFF YALDEN AT TIPPECANOE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation (TVSC) invites parents/guardians and the community to attend a presentation by Jeff Yalden on the topic of “Youth Suicide Prevention” on Monday, February 16, at 7:00 p.m., in the Tippecanoe Valley High School (TVHS) Commons.

Jeff Yalden is a high energy, “tell it like it is” motivational speaker and parent communicator. He will provide a dynamic and entertaining message about teen depression and suicide that parents/guardians and the community need to hear.

Due to the nature of the topic, the presentation is intended for adults only.  Childcare will be provided by members of the TVHS Student Council.  Snacks will also be provided.

The anticipated length of the presentation is one and one-half to two hours.
